I watched it a few years ago but it didn't stick. I don't remember anything and probably missed the point of the anime completely.
Let's all love Lain!

Saw all this talk about Lain and decided to give it a look. Unfortunately, it lead me down a rabbit hole of extreme proportions that I saw both all the episodes, and somehow found a website that has the old cd game. The game and show are similar but very different, and it hooked me in the way that I couldn't do anything else but finish what I started. In the end, I still don't know how to feel, and I still feel like I'm taking in the meanings of what I just saw.

Neon Genesis Lain.
Finished rewatching Lain again. Comfy.
WorstFriend How many times have you watched it now? ^^'
Not nearly enough.
(I don't remember)
WorstFriend Hey, that's much more than me!
Maybe you should change that!
WorstFriend Hmmm, maybe someday...
I've seen it. The face looks off in my opinion, especially the eyes.
Someone sent me this:
WorstFriend Yeah I can see why - it definitely looks like they tried to "update" her look somewhat to make her cuter. Her irises are missing the lines. Still looks cute though!
It seems that you may have forgotten to paste something ^^'
The link is there, catbox just died.
WorstFriend Ah, right you are... I hope it comes back soon!
It works now.
WorstFriend alright yeah, the edit is way closer to the original
Actually now that I'm on my PC, they definitely missed an opportunity with this design. Oh well, maybe next time vv
