Many of these animes I find questionable in quality at best but... But SaO? That's.... Are you trollin'?

That's the second worst anime I know of, standing right next to Akame ga Kill.

Well, I personally enjoyed it. I really disliked the second season though, I don't exactly know what I was really expecting from it anyway, started off okay, but then gradually became worse... In any case, everybody does have their own taste, and these are just mine~

I usually just watch and rate on the enjoyment I had while watching these, not so much going in to all the in depth stuff.

Well, I personally enjoyed it. I really disliked the second season though, I don't exactly know what I was really expecting from it anyway, started off okay, but then gradually became worse... In any case, everybody does have their own taste, and these are just mine~

I usually just watch and rate on the enjoyment I had while watching these, not so much going in to all the in depth stuff.

That's generally the M.O. of animes like that. Log Horizon also did the same.
The first season was mediocre at best for me then everything shat the bed later on, which I agree, making it horrid in my eyes.

Another reason there's disbelief is both how bad it is and the fact that it's rather universally agreed to be a travesty by most communities, so it's an odd thing to see it being considered anywhere near entertaining.

Back on-topic. I'm extremely picky with what I watch and my critiques are generally harsh and unforgiving, so here's my tiny list;

Death Parade
Kino's Journey
Jormungand

SAO was not that bad. But I still think it should have ended after the actual SAO arc. The rest were not that good. Have not even bothered with the new season.

Mononoke is the one anime that does horror right. Don't let anyone fool you otherwise.

In case you watched everything that was mentioned above, I picked some little less known but still good anime.
As always, tastes differ, but most of these generally have positive ratings at least. In no particular order.

Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate (School, Drama, Romance)
Amagami SS (100% Romance for those interested, explores multiple routes)
Magic Kaito 1412 (A gentleman who steals jewels with magic, episodic)
Death Parade (Hmmm... just look it up, highly recommended)
Hyouka (Slice of life, Mystery, Highly recommended)
Little Witch Academia (Mahou-Shoujo Movie, has a good ending)
UN-GO (Mystery, supernatural aspects)
Working!! (Workplace comedy in a family restaurant. Highly recommended)
Overlord (Still airing, pretty good twist on the trapped in game style, not bad though, turns into fantasy)
Trigun (older Sci-Fi with action and light comedy)
Mushishi (Seinen, slow pace, but each episode is like "Man, that's deep")
Teekyuu (A special kind of comedy. High school girls on crack who play tennis)
Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom (Dramatic action thriller, some violence, few cliches, highly recommended)
Redline (qt romance movie, sci-fi romance revolving around racing)
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (Dark comedy, shoddy animation, but good overall-ish. Niche audience)
Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou (Very funny comedy for guys)
Persona 3 The Movie(Based on Persona 3 game, dark, but very good action, drama, supernatural. Series of 4 movies, 2/4 released so far)
