Small things that cause frustration

NOTE: This thread is not about my penis.

Ever had those moments when you've just sat down and your glass of whatever you enjoy drinking is across the room? How about those times where you use the bathroom and there's no more toilet paper? Everyone has them, and this thread is for sharing them.

Personally, I can't stand it when people confuse to/too and your/you're. A less common one is when you've just got comfortable in your seat or bed, and then you need to pee. Such a pain.

What are yours? Why?

There's a lot.

  • teens thinking they're oh so grown-up/posting pseudo-deep quotes thinking they're so cool and serious
  • smurfs/cheaters in video games
  • failing a combo in osu (seriously pisses me off)
  • when you're enjoying yourself and somebody just enters your room for no reason at all and disturbs your peace
  • grammar errors over the internet, such as mentioned your/you're or to/too

and a lot more that I won't even list cause I'd get frustrated doing so

Well, for myself theres:

Boredom
Not having enough money/running out of money
Timezones
Trying to find a kitsune maid
Tony Abbott
Australia's traditionally bad internet

There's probably a lot more to add to the list, but nothing it's coming to mind so far. Might edit it over time or something.

I work in customer service.... pet peeves? Let me count the ways!

I work tech support for an online school. I deal with the following on a regular basis.

I HATE when people say "You people."
I hate when people call me for help, then refuse to do what I ask or tell ME what I need to do.
I hate when faculty says, "You guys need to get your website under control!" (You're a teacher, asshole! WE work for the same company! Eat a dick!)
I hate when Doctors demand to be addressed as "Dr."
I hate when the concept of "tech support" equates to "master of the dark arts" and people feel I should help them remove malware from their PCs for free just because my job title falls under "tech support."

As for my grammar peeves... I respect people who do not wish to identify as her/him, but to ask me to refer to you as "they" is unforgivable! "They" is plural. I do not consider you're alter ego enough to make you more than one person. If you can't pick a side of the gender divide, thats fine, but come up with a grammatically correct way to identify yourself!

My list isn't as long as I was expecting.

When people try to tell me that jet fuel CAN melt steel beams and I have to explain to them that they're wrong because bush did 9/11

Yeah... let me add racists and sexists...

Specifically racists and sexists, and not racism and sexism per se..

The reason is because if you listen to the sob stories of the individuals that perpetrate said acts, it tends to come down to jealousy and envy....

"I don't like minorities!"
Why?
"They get welfare and I don't."

"Women are meant to be treated like dirt!"
Why?
"One time a girl refused to date me."

Seriously, fuck those people.....

I also realize that these are hardly "small" things... actually kind of major social issues.
