Anybody upgraded to windows 10?

Posts

I did, and I must say that I really do love it. It is fast, smooth and looks far superior to both Windows 7 and Windows 8.

Just upgraded to the new Windows, and while I can't say that it is running flawlessly, I can say that it's definitely not as bad as I expected, especially the ribbon menu, since it is not intrusive, but is instead hidden until clicked on.
Cortana is working rather well regarding its unfinished state. It's unresponsive at times, but I was able to open a few games with voice commands which I must say are very useful. There are no bugs with voice commands as I've seen being reported by users around the web, but it varies between each user.
There are some program and driver incompatibility problems, but I'll try and sort through those later. For now, I will have to deal with my touchpad driver being uninstalled until I can figure out a solution for it. Firefox's minimize, maximize, and close buttons are overstretched, but that's a minor issue.

yeah Firefox filed complaint to microsoft about many things, and microsoft ignored them, saying indirectly they would listen to only users complaints

I respect my freedom, so no. I did not install the new spywarewindows.

I have a 30gb windows 7 partition for games and that is as far as I will go with windows.

You're being spied on regardless of what OS you own lol.

Why would I want another company spying on me?

Why do you care if they do in the first place? xD

If you do not care why don't you send me a pm with you passwords and browsing history. I mean you have nothing to hide so why bother with privacy?

There is a difference between showing people what I have on my accounts and giving them access to use my name. That is a huge difference. Its as different as someone filming you and faking to be you.

It is the exact same information being given away.

The difference lies in ; "Knowing who you are" and "Using your identity". If I tell someone my name, its not the same as if they are using my name. That is the difference, if you get told; "Only see, no touching". And if you ONLY look, then it is not the same as touching, right?

But how would I be taking your name?

What I am saying is if you would not be happy giving the information that is being collected to a random person then why are you fine with giving it to a random company?

Might update to windows 10, but kinda worried about the privacy policy thingy

“We will access, disclose and preserve personal data, including your content (such as the content of your emails, other private communications or files in private folders), when we have a good faith belief that doing so is necessary to protect our customers or enforce the terms governing the use of the services.”

this thingy is written in the 45-page terms of use agreement....

but i do want dx12 ;w;

This, it shouldn't really be too much of a problem unless you were a pirate or some other form of illegal activity, right?

I download torrents from time to time, and idk how legal it is to watch loli in sweden ( pretty sure its not legal )
// If i have to decide between dx12 or loli.... i think win10 got the wrong privacy for me -.-

I decided to upgrade, as I was on 8.1 before. I probably wouldn't have upgraded if I was on 7.

I have it, it's amazing but it's a bit laggy at times. But that's to be expected of a new OS.

Well it's not laggy for me. My PC seems like it's faster.

I do many illegal activites, you know even watching anime without paying is illegal? all the torrents, and many other things is illegal, but do they care? I doubt that, they just add this incase of big hackers who have the skill to hack compaines and shit
