I might actually change it to newfriend, newfag probably isn't very welcoming.

The only issue I can see arising is that with the new theme, I'll have to disable a plugin that the current theme relies on; so the current theme will not be available for some time.

I don't like how the stats isn't it's own block, even if you made it look nice. It's alos hard to see how forums will look with only one forum added.

More complete forumview(42):
The user menu and pms being on their own block is nice. Maybe you should have a bit more space between threads, posts, and last post on the forumview, if we get to the point where we have hundreds of thousands of posts it may stretch the theme to have that many numbers in there.
Perhaps you could feature more than a single top poster, maybe a top 3? Otherwise it's just going to be @Senpai or @Lokorfi all day every day.

I think you should sort Recent Posts above Who's Online, as the Who's Online block will dynamically resize based on the number of users online, whereas Recent Posts block size is less flexible. Our Stats / Top Poster / Recent Posts / Who's Online would only need minimal change, whereas I think Recent Posts / Top Poster / Who's Online / Our Stats makes more sense and presents the data our users want most at the top and data with less interest at the bottom.

I personally prefer the darker red on the 'newfag' version to the brighter red found on the 'newfriend' version of the same screenshot (newfriend being posted in 48).

I really like how the current theme fits so much information into the relatively small space that it has.
I think you should switch around the Search and User/Mail portions on the very top, as most people expect the search to be on the right of the screen.
I'm also not sure if I like 'Unread Posts' going missing either.

On the other hand, your postbit and actual post fields look absolutely amazing so far despite the removal of the level field (which will presumably be added in later on)  My only concern is that I don't see a clear distinction for where a signature field would be located.  Would you mind giving yourself a signature on this theme and taking another screenshot?

If Lewd switches to this please keep old one as an option as Saikou suggested. I really hate simple flat themes.

the reason behind there only being one is that it piggybacks off of mybb's default top daily poster thing. i guess if someone is sick of lokorfi's or my own name there, they can do something about it.

I'm not sure what to feel about the sidebars, I'm not against it at all. I'ved used it before and I can get used too it.
there'll be settings to change the way the sidebar is displayed. :3

I think we should have a smaller footer, it's like I said before. It's kind of too bold/big for me.
I agree, I'll work on reducing the size of it.

Something that I can say now directly, is that I think your breadcrumbs wrapper for the navigation is way too big for me.
it's big as it's also used as for the main title and meta data for each page.

I also think the "plus" button/icon size should be made smaller and also be moved slighlty a few pixels to the right, to prevent it from blocking the view of posts
The plus icon as it is will never block any posts (only on mobile, even then, it's transparent). it's based on google's material design buttons. i might move it down a touch though.

I also think the color of your navigation breadcrumbs should be either made more neutral or just make it slighly darker.
I'll be changing the primary colour again, so that the breadcrumbs don't look so bright. the button is the same colour, except opaque until people hover over it.

Yeah but otherwise I think this looks pretty good.

I personally don't like the "flat" stuff, I really have become biased and fallen in love with the current theme, I hope it works really well and I can fall in love with it.

I'm not entirely sure whether I want to keep it. It adds so much bloat for so little gain.

It is a really nice feature tho; I might make it so that you can turn it on/off.
