Have you heard of Destrose? They're a great Japanese metal band, I really like them. They've only released one album so far though 🙁

What's your favorite Japanese metal band? I'm interested.

While I do indeed know of the band you're speaking of, (and think their music is pretty cool) the bands I listen to in Japanese aren't metal. For such a short question, for some reason it was so hard to answer.
While I forgot to say this before, it's true that I mostly listen to artists that aren't really out there (unfortiently, I should really expand my barriers). This is because I love their lyrics so much more, and the music really gets to my heart. Most of them are based off a true story or feeling in some way, even if the connection is very minor.
Ah- I listen to real people though.

I do like a band in particular, but it isn't metal. It's indie rock with like, the slightest bit of weight on the guitars. haha by that i meant its a little heavy but not really They were all solo before, and got together and made a band, but because they actually have their own music to deal with it's very hard for them to bring out music together. Regardless of that, they do it anyway because they love it.
They're called Einie if you're interested, but you probably won't like them.

I do love solo artists though. Such as Aikawa Mafuyu (mainly going by the name of Mafumafu /まふまふ) whom is extremely talented. He makes rock - heavy metal (mainly heavy metal) music, but originally started by covering music. Well- he still does but also makes the illustrations, movies and does the mixing and music for his own videos that come out every month or so! His voice is described a shota, and is often mistaken as a girl sometimes, I can't really tell you more about that since I never really heard him as a girl.
He can do a mini-growl and has amazing power in his voice, but it is a little high while just turning 25.

Ah~ I've gone on for a while.
Sorry I'm just passionate about music.
If this wasn't the answer you were looking for, then I'm really sorry. qwq

I tend to not pay a lot of attention to the lyrics unless they're very good or political. And most songs are based off of a true story across all genres of music unless writing about very far-from-reality things is an important part of the genre (Power Metal, Horrorcore, Death Metal, etc...). I listen to real people as well as vocaloids sometimes if that's what you meant.

I'll check them out later, they sound pretty interesting. I might like them since I'm not just into metal.
I don't really have a favorite band but there are some I really like such as Iron Maiden, Megadeth and Anal Cunt.

I think I've heard of him before but I'm not sure, I'll check him out too when I have some spare time. Most of the solo artists I listen to are guitarists like Marty Friedman or Joe Satriani, because I play guitar (duh). He (Mafumafu) sounds like a hard working person since it probably takes a long time recording videos and illustrations. I can kinda get why he does the mixing all by himself though. It's super expensive to record in a hired studio if you don't have a label.

Nah it's okay, but now I feel bad because my response is so short ;-;
heh I'm very passionate about music too. Hence why I play guitar and stuff.

Ah-

You should check them out, but if you don't like distinct nasal in a voice then they might not be for you. >.<

Yeah, considering that me and Mafumafu do the same kind of thing (but I produce MV's a lot less often and they take me months if I animate them) I have a good idea at how hard working he is, and how admirable he is for what he does.
He normally adds a lot of symbolism in his MV's and does clever things such as lyric morphs.
Mixing is expencive... qwq But it's not all that hard to grasp yourself with the correct teaching and resources! o/

Really? You play instruments? That's awesome!

>.< You sir, are in my cool books!

I used to listen to them lots but I don't really listen to a lot of Vocaloid anymore.

I checked them out now and I like them a lot better then Mafumafu. The nasal singing kinda gets on my nerves sometimes but I'll get used to it. I listen to a lot of thrash metal and annoying vocals are besically a staple in that genre.

Yup, I don't have nearly enough patience to make a music video by myself D:  I never really pay attention to MV's either because I don't really like them as much. I mostly just listen to the music or start doing something else.

Yay I'm cool! I've been playing guitar for a year and a half right now so it's not that long but I'll be fine. Do you play any instruments?

Same here. I'd much rather listen to utaites (those who cover vocaloid) as that way I'm still listening to the composers hard work, but with the sound of a human. >.<
If that made sense.

With Mafumafu, he has a lot of songs that don't really seem special.
In his latest song Berserk, he did everything himself.
If you still have the time and patience to keep listening to the songs I give you, I recommend you give this song a minute of your time.
(This is the one where he did everything himself in a month)
Note: It's heavy metal.
Berserk

And yeah, me too. The nasal you hear is from Eve. He's really talented but it took me a while to get used to his nasal. In the end, I got used to his nasal resulting in me listening to many others I hadn't listened before and falling in love with Eve >.<
Not literally though. I don't know him. qwq
In Einie there are actually two singers, one is Eve and the other is called Natsushiro Takaaki also known as Yuei (ゆーえい). Yuei is the lead singer, but every once in a while Eve leads on a song vocal wise since it suits his voice more. Yuei is quite intense and powerful with his voice and it is quite smooth. He also has a great range but can be silly with his miniature growls in songs sometimes.

Ah- In my opinion, my personal enjoyment differs since it depends on whether or not the MV is actually good.
A good MV is a good MV, a bad one is bad. >.<
you don't say?

Even if it is only nearly two years, that's still awesome! I need to learn how to play guitar, but I should focus on what I know until I'm more experienced.
Speaking of what I know, yes I do play instruments! I've been playing the piano for just about two years now, and have recently picked up Bass. As I've never really been good at the guitar, bass has been kind of hard for me, but for some reason I'm able to pick things up quickly by ear on piano! >.<
It must be to do with my dad. He's a musician and has gotten like 3 degrees and stuff (I don't know well) in university. I'm really lucky... qwq I'm thankful...

I can't really relate with the music posted here, as Japanese metal and English metal
 are two very different styles.
Ah- but some don't notice it.
I can't really explain it, but I hope some people might understand what I mean?
I'm not studying music as of yet I'm just learning how to play it, my school doesn't
offer written work and such. 🙁 One day I will learn though. 😛

But yeah, I listen to metal! I listen to all music, but manily rock - thrash metal!
I listen to heavy metal most of the time though. I'm not really all that fond on
screaming, as in how the English use their growls and screams, but when it's used
in a clever way I bloody love it.
I am a source of Japanese metal! Seriously, if you were want a song to jam out to
pm me with a breif description and I'll give you options! ^-^

Ah- but I don't like Japanese metal 'cause I'm a weeaboo! I just like the instrumental
 more. >.<

Can't say I really notice the style difference. Sounds like metal to me. Perhaps its the usage of different instruments, or the playstyle. Or even the lyrical content. Guess, if all into the category of not really noticing it. I suppose that really isn't a bad thing though, I end up just clumping it all under the genre it belongs rather than calling it J-Powermetal, or the such. Sounds like you're really passionate about music, should definitely pursue it anyway possible. When you're that passionate about something its best not to let it go! 😛

I've noticed that in the music I listen to, they like their guitar a little higher and their rifts are slightly different to the norm in America.
I can't put it into words but yeah, it is different.

Thank you! >.<
I'm aiming to be a composer, and I'm stubborn! Like this, as my mindset is now, I will peruse!
If you ever see me in the future subtle hair flip I'll most likely be under the name Ruiko (るいこ) or Ruu (るう) for short. It's kind of a known nickname of mine on the internet besides my gaming nickname Jebbika. >.<

I don't call things with the J- in front of it.
I just call it Metal or _____ genre.

Ah yes, if you mean how they play the instruments then I get what you mean. I'm not too sensitive to it, but there is something about metal from Japan that has a bit of a different sound, but you notice that everywhere. Swedish, and Norwegian metal have a certain tang, or way it sounds. German, Russian, Middle Eastern. You name it, it has a sort of uniqueness to the sound based on its region. Almost like an accent, which is really cool that music is powerful enough to be so unique, and amazing.

Thank you for being someone that doesn't say J-Metal, or J-__. I get tired of it. I understand if you're having a discussion between American Pop, Korean Pop and Japanese Pop as a way to sort of distinguish which you're talking about, but in the end that all falls under the same genre. We shouldn't label genres based on region, gets too confusing at that point. Unfortunately it is really ingrained in the pop scene so it is likely to never go away.

Ah, so you did notice it after all! >.< I'm not very good at expressing my thoughts into words, unless I'm writing a fantasy story or something which is hell as my imagination is endless.

Yeah, music is really beautiful in that sense. It's like a never ending story, a language- words or notes that change and fade as time passes.
I love music just for being what it is, it's human expression. Thoughts and feelings that cannot be put into words are expressed in music, no matter the genre.
It's really cool.

Ugh yeah, don't worry about it. In the end, even though the term J- or K- will definitely (as you said) not fade, it's still metal or ____ genre.
I've found that a lot of people that say J- or K- are young though, and possibly inexperienced- if I make sense.

I think I'm getting along pretty well. Isn't it expensive to play all those instruments? I find it a lot easier to figure out things by ear on the Piano too. I try to learn things on guitar by ear as often as possible though, turns out that I'm actually training my ear which is good. The leads are still really hard though. I've only learned one guitar solo by ear before and that was the first solo of Orion by Metallica.
Whoa your dad must be pretty cool then. My dad plays guitar as well as me so that must be where I got it from. My family is pretty musical though, my little brother plays the drums and my mom can play a saxophone.

I listen to utaites. ^-^ I know what you mean though.
The really good utaites out there make their own works too. I guess covering is just a way of expressing what you love.

Yes, a lot of work would've gone into that. 'Ts why I think that it's awesome! ^-^
He seems to like auto-tune, but it's not as if he can't sing, quite the contrary actually. He just likes how it sounds.

Yuei is nice, I probably like Eve more because I've listened to him for a long time now though.
>/////< pls Eve spray me your ink seed ||

Maybe if you watched some you might like them more? shrugs What'd I know? People have different tastes and opinions on things!

Yes, it is very expensive to have all of those instruments, but my keyboard is from 1997, so that's an example of how much we take care of our instrument bbys. I would've had a piano, but 2 - 3 year old Jebbika was a jerk and snapped off all the knobby things at the back just after my dad was repairing the piano. Y'know? Those things that can bob if you touch 'em and are essential for you to even get a sound out of the piano?
But I snapped them off. One. By. One.
I hate myself.
qwq

Half of the instruments we have are old, as my dad already had some before I became a music nerd.
'Ts why I need a solid job, even if it's only part-time as soon as I turn 16. Music is very expensive.

I'm glad you're getting along well with it! Good luck with your studies! >.<
Ah- music is a study.

My family is quite musical too, as you might've guessed already. It's basically my dads side of the family though.
Metallica is cool. My dad likes 'em.
I'd listen to them if I liked the lead singer's voice. The instrumental is reallly cool though so it's a shame.

Yup I heard there were two. I like Yuei better though.

There are very few MV's which I actually like but I don't even pay attention to them half the time :/

I guess it is. Many older bands have a lot of cover songs on their first albums as well go figure.

I don't really like auto-tune because it sounds too robotic to me.
Let's just ignore the fact that I listen to vocaloids okay 🙁

Yah I just have my shitty guitar and an amp. Whoa you sound like a nightmare child. The worst thing I ever did as a child was breaking a vase once.
But you sound like you're  a cool person now so all's well that ends well I guess.

Here in the Netherlands you can work part-time when you're 14, I work part time delivering papers and it doesn't pay a lot but it gets the job done because I can actually buy shit now.
And yeah it's super expensive, I suck at saving money 🙁

A musical family would be so cool to have. My family is cool though, half of them like metal too and last summer I went into a mosh pit with my dad. We had a great time.
That's funny most people actually think their singer is very good unlike Megadeth's singer for example. But I guess it's just a matter of taste really. Your dad sounds cool.

Just found these guys, really dig the sound. Definitely can hear the black metal influences.

I don't really listen to Utaites as much because I always prefer original works.

Oh I've listened to that song before. I wanted to listen to an orginal by him and this was the first result.
It looks like a lot of work went into that.

Ah that's interesting.

Yeah, they do. >.<

Eh? I don't mind it if it's used right though. Auto-tune isn't always bad imo.
Mhm, I'll ignore it. Tehe~

Pls a guitar and an amp can still make love- ahem lovely music is what I meant.
Yeah, I was a nightmare child. Half of my memories of primary school are me facing the next classrooms wall. (I got scolded).
/// pls he called me cool

We can work part-time too, but they really treat you like slaves and my parents said that there was no point, as I'd get more money from them just working around the house.
I suck at saving money too. You're not alone. qwq

Oh damn, your dad sounds cool. Ah- you just called my dad cool too. Well, he's a little bit of a jerk but yeah he can be cool.
We both have cool parents! \o/

Late replies are great.
Sorry.

I know this is an acoustic version... but both this and the original are good.

I oftenly listen to bands such as Ghost, Carcass, Mastodon, Judas Priest and anything thrash metal in general.

I used to be a huge Metallica fan, but i lost interest on it. It came back with Death Magnetic and it's gone ever since. Also i loved Megadeth but one day working as an assistant during a Megadeth concert, Dave treated us like shit so i haven't touched them since.
