Favorite Videogames

Posts

If you had to list your absolute favorite videogames, what would they be?

Did they touch you? Were they just fun? Were they odd and unique? You can use any standard to rate it, I won't judge

Anyhow, just post the videogames you think are the crème de la crème.

My list would go like so:

  1. Undertale
  2. Papers Please and The Stanley Parable
  3. Cave Story

I chose based on how much they impacted me and how good I believe the game is. You may notice a lack of Nuclear Throne and Skullgirls. That's pretty much because as much as I love those games, they didn't really impact me too much. They're just really good games, but they stop at that. The games on the list reached me on an emotional level and left me thinking about them for a while after (a bit less for cave story, but hey).

Anyhow, what are yours?

In terms of replayability, I'd say Disgaea, One Way Heroics (Plus), and Garry's Mod.

For story, I'd say Final Fantasy X, The Last of Us, and this one JRPG that I can't remember off the top of my head that I played some years ago.

Finally, for fun (in terms of gameplay or enjoyablilty), I'd say Neptunia, Fallout 3, and whatever flavor of the month MMORPG I'm playing (in this case, it'd be Tree of Savior).

Disgaea is a longtime favorite of mine.
I've also put a lot of time into Blizzard's games (not including WoW) and Dota/DotA 2

I only play starcraft because I'm not much of a gamer but I really like it so I guess it's my favourite.

Here's my top 4 (Becuase I like to go one step beyond)

  1. Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
  2. Skullgirls
  3. Brawlhalla
  4. Crypt of the Necrodancer
  1. Final Fantasy Series
  2. Old Cods (cod 4, mw2, bo1 etc)
  3. Some JRPG that I forgot the name of. :x

Tricky...

Of all time:

  1. Diablo II (and Lord of Destruction)
    -. Old Call of Duty (MW1, MW2, BO1)
    -. Battlefield 2 and 2142
    -. Midnight Club 2
    -. Age of Empires II
-. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
    -. Tony Hawk's (Pro Skater 4, Underground 1 & 2 and American Wasteland)
    -. Need For Speed (Underground 1 & 2)
    -. James Bond: Nightfire
    -. Ratchet and Clank (1, 2, 3 and Gladiator)
    -. FIFA 2005

As of now:

  1. Rocket League
  2. CS:GO
  3. ????
  4. Profit

Question is nearly impossible to answer. Too many amazing games.

All time though probably along the lines of:
Metal Gear Solid 3
Gone Home
Dark Souls

Honourable mentions though.
Thirty Flights Of Loving, Animal Crossing New Leaf, Catherine, Super Meat Boy, Metal Gear Solid 4, Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Transistor, Bastion, Darkest Dungeon, Hotline Miami, Counter Strike: Source, Cave Story, Resident Evil 4, Don't Starve, Metro Last Light, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and NEOTOKYO. I think that's most of the games that have ever contested for any of my top 3, 5 or 10.

I guess if i had to choose my all time faves:

  1. NFS: Most Wanted (not that new shit)
  2. Jet Set Radio Future (i probably had like 300-400 hours on this when i was young, still never finished it)
  3. COD: MW2 (back when i was like 13 cause of all the cool dudes i met)

  5. Undertale

I guess that's it.

Yeah i havent had the time to play alot of vidja recently, been trying to get my life in order. But here are some of my all time favorites:

  1. Dark Souls (this game has helped me thru alot of bad times, i can get lost in the world and forget everything else.)
  2. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (just good times and comfy monster feels)
  3. Earthbound (One of my childhood favorites)

Oh boy here we go.
I guess my top ones would have to be (in no particular order): corpse party, dark souls, and the megami tensei series

I was a fan of Lego Star Wars and Battle for Bikini Bottom when I was a child

edit: I still like these

  1. Dark Souls, this game has really moved me in many different ways.
  2. Fallout, another game that has moved me via immersion (especially 2 & 3)
  3. Company of Heros, This game helped me escape a very dark part of my life

There's no real order to these:

  1. Fallout 3
  2. Earthbound
  3. Smash Bros. Melee
  4. Chibi Robo
  5. Wind Waker

I've yet to play Undertale. Is it as amazing as everyone says?

There was nothing more satisfying than getting blue lego studs
