Florence has forced my University to cancel all classes for the rest of the week.

Hahahaha. Aw man, lucky guy! That reminds me of when we had almost two weeks of back-to-back snow days my first year of college. The Radio Club got super-bored and organized a shirtless fight club in the frozen parking deck. They also smashed a $2000+ dollar MacBook to pieces. Shit was hilarious. xD

I might be in Florence's path (Nightingale reference anyone), but she won't slow me down any day, and almost never take my time off.

On the other hand, I finally went ahead and bought a Thinkpad E585. Nothing too pricy and looks to fit my needs well enough. Now I just have to wait for it to get built and shipped 😃

Hope you got the IPS display, that's basically the most important option and i'd spend my money on that before anything else

Yup, I got the IPS. I'm not going back to the era of 1366x768 res, yikes.
I'll probably throw in an SSD or something afterwards.

Hope you enjoy it! They ship really fast in my experience, so you probably won't be waiting as long as you think.

Thanks for the assurance haha. Atm my laptop is listed as shipping in December which is definitely not ideal for me lol

Need to do more things that make me happy. Need to phone up friends and meet cool new peeps every day. I'm feeling utterly spectacular for the first time in forever right now, and that lets me do amazing things for the people I cherish. :3

I need to apply for jobs. Gotta update my resumé, cover letter and print out stuff. But I keep falling back on my terrible sleep patterns ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Tomorow I will force myself to do it I guess, with copious amounts of coffee.

Pretty much feel no confidence at all, imposter syndrome. Been outside society for 1-2 yearish being semi-neet. Lost touch with a lot of old hobbies like tech, trying to rediscover it now though..

Looking back 3 years, before depression. I don't even recognize myself. Guess one way to see it is that you evolve and grow from your hardships. But I miss my old self sometimes.
