puddles_suki As far as social media goes, I'm honestly not too sure. I suppose a good starting point would be to see if there are any forums around that cater to a specifc interest or hobby. There are still plenty of car forums, for example, though they're not always super active.
Other kinds of websites, perhaps @Backlash could point you towards some interesting ones, otherwise you could try search engines like https://www.wiby.me/ or https://marginalia-search.com/
malmon car forums? do i need a car?
puddles_suki Uh, well, it would help, yes ^^'7 I mean, that was just an example. Look for something that interests you, such as whatever brought you to this forum~
First of all, there is lewd.sx (toots own horn)
If you're into fanfiction, there are several sites that are good.
Spacebattles, The Dark Lord Potter forums, Sufficient Velocity, fanfiction.net, archive of our own, questionable questing, and fiction.live
Anime tracking websites:
anilist, myanimelist, kitsu, anime-planet
Writing tools:
hemingway, write with transformer (ai), cliche finder
for information about music genres, i highly recommend Every Noise at Once
there are various web games such as pokerogue, pokemon showdown, flashflashrevolution, and more.
People are also doing some cool stuff on neocities (replacement for the defunct geocities).
Yeah, I know some cool ones, I found lewd from uboachan
japanee stuff:
myfigurecollection.net, mywaifulist
forums:
wikipedia list
erischan
ProBoards
Frutiger Aero Archive is also good
frenchfry oh i completely forgot of uboachan
There is also this other thread
https://lewd.sx/d/3621-post-your-websites
mitxela.com, telehack, megatokyo, chiplayer js
this thread seems kind of dead but i had to flex a few of the websites i've found
mauhs Ooh, chiplayer's neat. It reminded me of another music-based site, https://0x40.mon.im/, a recreation of the old 0x40 flash.
Mitxela has some interesting stuff as well!
Been thinking again about that one recently so I'll share: https://n-o-d-e.net/
Cool hardware stuff
Dontmindme Oh this looks cool! Any particular project catch your eye?
malmon The Casio watch mods are cool, I like this one https://n-o-d-e.net/casio2.html
I've found inverted screens to be dogshit in daily use though, exchange an inverted screen g-shock I had to the normal version. The node nano seemed interesting too https://n-o-d-e.net/nano_server.html
Dontmindme Heh, the nano server reminds me of a thing I saw on /g/ a while back. Some dude basically made himself an unblockable VPN by sticking a RPi inside a hotel room socket housing. Can't remember if he had it linked up via the hotel WiFi, or if there was an Ethernet connection available as well, but it looked so damn clever lol
