2024 New Year's Resolutions

I just want to be mentally healthy enough to start making money. That's all. I wanna keep my new year resolution short and simple so I can actually follow through with it.

Thought I might as well get a head start

Short resolutions, or rather, broad resolutions are the way to go. I remember watching a video about it a few years ago, by CGP Grey, I think. Basically saying that going for a theme rather than a fixed target tends to be more successful.

Nice! I gotta get back into Japanese too. Did a year at uni, but I want to sign up for evening classes once my commute gets shorter.

The app I'm using is Just Run https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jupli.run

Just a couple of megabytes, doesn't have any sorta GPS tracking or anything.

tn5421 I don't eat as well as I could, and I tend to eat one large meal a day, but the quality is mixed.

The frequency of meals isn't really as important as quality, I think. There's probably more to it if you're going full workout mode, but otherwise just go with whatever your body responds best to. I prefer having more smaller meals, rather than one large one, but some people feel better after a fast.

COUPLED its wanikani if im not mistaken

increase my kill count

Saikou That doesn't sound very nice :<

malmon how else will i bring about the eternal night?
jk uhhh uhh i mean in video games :3 :3

i do wanna, like, find some way to not be lonely that would be cool

Saikou jk uhhh uhh i mean in video games :3 :3

What games do you play? ^^

malmon nothing, i was totally absorbed in cyberpunk recently though

Saikou Ah, Cyberpunk looks cool, not sure if it's really my sorta theme though. Either way, I've sorta been waiting until I get a new GPU before bothering with more recent games. Who knows when that's gonna be with current prices though, and I have loads of other things I need to spend money on currently ^^'7

Any games you've got your eye on now?

malmon cyberpunk is pretty close to my type of theme especially with mods that make it look more like blade runner + cat ears and thighhighs mods + mod that makes it rain frequently
i got metal gear rising: revengeance and the phantom pain on steam but i haven't played them any yet

i have been writing and watchimg stuff (movies) instead of gamign basically

Saikou Aah, I like The Phantom Pain. I haven't gotten very far through it though - it can be a pretty big time sink if you try to S every mission ^^'7

malmon update: it's been a little over 3 weeks and I've managed to drop 10lb so far. Beat Saber has really come in clutch here to make exercising a bit fun. I look forward to further results.
